Train like an elite athlete
“I help runners in England and across Spain reach their goals.”
Fully personalised running plans by Pablo Otero — Spanish national Road Mile runner-up 2025 and CAFYD-qualified coach. Online coaching, from Galicia to London.
The numbers that speak.
Every plan is backed by years of work, data and experience competing at the top national level.

“After more than a year coaching athletes, I’m launching this professional account to take my work to the next level. If you want to truly improve, this is the moment.”

I compete at the highest level. I coach so you reach your best.
I’m from A Illa de Arousa, Galicia, and I’ve been running my whole life. As an athlete, several national medals back my high-performance experience. As a coach — with a degree in Sport & Exercise Science (CAFYD) — my goal is clear: to help you improve your performance in a real, measurable way. I coach runners across Spain and in England, online — wherever you are, from Galicia to London.
As an athlete I’ve been lucky to reach the top of Spanish middle- and long-distance running: Spanish Road Mile runner-up in 2025 in Mallorca, and two bronze medals at the Spanish University Championships (10,000 m in 2022 and 5000 m in 2024). My next big challenge is the marathon.
In August 2025 I ran 70 km from A Illa de Arousa to Balaídos to keep a promise to Celta. That’s the same mindset I bring when I build your plan: hard work, patience, and care for the craft.
I know what every second costs, the doubts before a hard rep, the pull on your heart rate when you push. And I know how to guide others so their running shoes do the same.
Focused on Galicia and London.
My two bases are Pontevedra (Galicia) and London. Most of the training is online, so we work together wherever you are — with a focus on these two places.
- Pontevedra · Galicia
- London · England
Video calls, your plan in Train2Go and WhatsApp follow-up — whatever your time zone.
I coach all kinds of runners.
Elite & sub-elite athletes
Federated times, a competitive calendar, national or regional goals. We work at the highest level.
Recreational runners
You want new PBs in the 10K, half or marathon. You have a life, work, family — and still want to genuinely improve.
Just starting out
You’re taking your first steps or coming back after time off. Your base starts here — injury-free, with a plan.
A plan that’s yours. Not off the internet.
No templates. Every plan starts with a first video call to understand your level, your life and where you want to get to. Then we build it together.
Monthly plan
For those starting out or coming back. Clear structure, defined paces, no guesswork.
- Personalised weekly plan
- Built around your life (Train2Go app)
- Paces by heart-rate zones

- Adjusted to fatigue and real life
- Monthly video call (45 min)
- Strength and mobility routines
- In-person meet-up every two weeks (Pontevedra province)

- Analysis of every session
- Nutrition and recovery plan
- Race-day support
- Weekly meet-up with the athlete (Pontevedra province)
Four steps. No shortcuts.
Personalised coaching is more than a spreadsheet of sessions. It’s a two-way process where every decision is talked through and reasoned with you.
Assessment
We talk on a video call. History, times, injuries, life, goals. Without this, no plan works.
Design
I build your plan from scratch. Days, intensities, periodisation, recovery. Everything justified, everything explained.
Follow-up
Each week I review what you’ve done in Train2Go — the platform where I post your sessions. I adjust if something’s off: fatigue, travel, whatever it is.
Result
We reach the start line with confidence, not doubts. And afterwards, we plan what’s next.
Competitive track record.
What the runners I coach have to say.
I took 4 minutes off my half marathon in six months. But more importantly: I learned to train properly, without getting injured.
It’s the first time a plan has been built for me and not for “the average runner”. Pablo knows what competing is and it shows.
I told him I wanted to finish my first marathon without walking. I did it in 3:42. I’d trust him with any goal.
What people ask me most before starting.
If you have a question that isn’t here, message me. I answer personally.
Start running for real.
A first 20-minute call, no commitment. Tell me where you are and where you want to go.
